Midwest Surf School joined with Christian Surfers Geraldton to give pointers to a bunch of Taiwanese Backpackers down Glenfields Beach.  Hopefully when they head back to Taiwan, they will pass on the pointers in the waves across there.

Media Release Midwest Surf School has an energetic learn to surf school holiday program for beginner and intermediate participants commencing from Easter Monday at Back Beach. Midwest Surf School owner and operator Keith Roffman has been running enthusiastic school holiday surfing programs for around three years in Geraldton. “Its great to see kids, teens and adults participate in surfing because not only do they get a vigorous workout, the thrill of surfing leaves them hooked to continue long term with this fun sport,” he said.  Mr Roffman has been surfing for 19 years but his passion for surf instruction started when he travelled overseas completing mission work with Christian Surfers and coached in a number of places all around the world including Bali, Mexico and Costa Rica.   “I came back from my overseas travel and knew I needed to start a surf school in Geraldton.  I gained my level one surf instructor qualification and since then there has been no looking back.  I just love the response from people when they stand up for the first time, it’s as exhilarating for me as it is for them.” Midwest Surf School have a special 25% off rate for the school holiday’s that anybody can benefit from. A once off lesson is $45 or a series of three lessons is $90.  Soft surfboards, wetsuit and 1.5 hours of instruction are included with every lesson.    To book a session or for more information call 0419 988 756.

Today saw Gero Surf Lifesaving hold there annual carnival at Geraldton’s Back Beach in Western Australia.

Even though the conditions were a tad choppie and wind didn’t hold off there were still some awesome times recorded.

Lets hope the wind drops but the swell holds up for the Australia day holiday so we can all follow the carnival up with a good days surf
